Location and Visiting Hours Location All inpatient childbirth services are located on Floor 4 (A and D wings) and outpatient services are located on Floor 3 (A-wing) of Grand River Hospital's KW site. Tours of the Childbirth Unit For information about available tours of the childbirth unit, please call 519-749-4300 ext. 2792. Visiting Hours: 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Our visiting hours were created with input from our new mothers and in consideration of their need for rest and time needed to learn about their baby. We ask that you share this information with your friends and relatives before you come to the hospital to ensure you receive the rest that you deserve. *Please note; Visitors are limited to a maximum of two visitors per patient at a time and the only children permitted are siblings of the newborn.

Labour and birth:
After baby is born: If the mother is in a private room, the partner or support person can stay overnight to provide support and assistance with new mother and baby care. Siblings of the newborn may visit for reasonable periods of time providing they are supervised at all times. No other children (under 14 years) are permitted on the unit. Visitors arriving outside visiting hours will be asked to come back at the specified hours.
