Chilbirth Programs and Services Prebirth Service Grand River Hospital's prebirth service was established for families who plan to give birth at Grand River Hospital. This collaborative partnership between Grand River Hospital and Waterloo Region Public Health ensures women have information about hospital and community supports for young families. The ideal time to be seen in the clinic is prior to 20 weeks gestation. We recommend that you call to make an appointment well in advance of 20 weeks gestation to ensure that you are seen early in your pregnancy. If you are 35 weeks gestation or greater at the time of the next available prebirth appointment, you will be asked to attend a group session that we offer. Hours: Mondays - Thursdays 11 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Fridays 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. To book an appointment call: 519-749-4300 ext. 2792 Please print out the following forms and bring your completed copies with you to your prebirth appointment.
