Going to the hospital can be a difficult and confusing experience for patients and their family members. We believe that visits from family and friends can make a significant contribution to a patient's recovery, and we encourage you to spend time with your loved ones at Grand River Hospital.
We will do our best to make your visit to Grand River Hospital as pleasant and easy as possible. Visitor information will help you prepare for your visit. Here you will find information on how to find the hospital sites, parking instructions, what to bring, visiting hours, and other important information.
We hope this information helps you plan for your visit. While you are at the hospital, our dedicated volunteers and staff will do their best to assist you with any questions or concerns.
Smoking
As a health care provider that wishes to promote healthy living, and minimize our community's exposure to the harmful effects of second hand smoke, Grand River Hospital recently instituted a new smoking policy that restricts smoking to designated areas. Smoking kiosks and designated areas are clearly indicated at all Grand River Hospital sites. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in using the designated kiosk to smoke , and in helping to make our hospital a healthier place.
Grand River Hospital meeting Waterloo Region's disability act standards
Recently, an audit was completed by the Accessibility Working Group to assess measures that Grand River Hospital has taken in the past and our future plans to identify, remove and prevent barriers for people with disabilities.
April 2010: Grand River Hospital is developing an updated accessibility plan. The new plan will be posted to our website as soon as it is available.
