Outpatient clinics at the centre include neurorehabilitation clinic, geriatric day hospital, prosthetic and orthotic clinic, FACTS, dermatology clinic, pulmonary rehabilitation clinic, geriatric consultation clinic, primary care clinic, secondary stroke prevention clinic and audiology. In addition, Freeport Health Centre provides palliative care. The hospital's K-W Health Centre is an acute care facility and offers services such as hemodialysis, medicine, childbirth, pediatric, surgical, and emergency services. The K-W Health Centre is located on King Street close to Union Blvd. The purpose of the volunteer resources department is to assist the hospital by maintaining an adequate and competent number of volunteers that compliment and enhance the staff in the delivery of health care. Our role is to enhance the personal well being and comfort of the patients with highly motivated and appropriately trained and screened volunteers.
Many volunteer positions are available in clinical, clerical, and retail areas within various departments throughout both health centres. The hospital welcomes students who are 16 years of age and older and has a summer student program that runs during the months of July and August.
