Improving Access At Grand River Hospital, we believe the Ontario government's Wait Time Strategy to reduce wait times for key medical services will make a positive difference in the way patients access care in Ontario. We are committed to supporting the Wait Time Strategy, and are focused on reducing wait times in three areas of the government's Key 5 that will have a large impact on our patients: MRI/CT scans, cancer surgery, and hip and knee (joint) replacement surgery. We believe we have a responsibility to ensure timely, appropriate and equitable access to MRI/CT scans, cancer surgery and joint surgeries. In pursuit of our goal to be a leader in transforming access to care and improved wait times in Waterloo region, and we are committed to keeping our community informed of current wait times for joint surgeries and MRI/CT scans at Grand River Hospital. What Affects Wait Times? Wait times at Grand River Hospital are impacted by three key elements:
Recent Changes The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care posts wait time information to its website for all participating Ontario hospitals.
